*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*

The American Party of the United States held their eighth Convention on
Thursday and Friday, March 30 and 31st in Oklahoma City and nominated Don
Rogers of Bakersfield, California for President and Al Moore of
Mechanicsville, Virginia for Vice-President.

American Party Presidential Candidate Don Rogers served in the California
Assembly for eight years for 1979 through 1986 and in the California Senate
for ten years from 1986 through 1996.

Don was born in Louisiana and is a graduate of Louisiana State University
with a B.S. in Geology.  He immediately went to work with an oil company
following graduation for which he worked sixteen years in Louisiana,
Mississippi and California.  Don has lived in California for over 35 years.
Today, Don is the owner of Success Petroleum Company.

Don is a registered geologist in the State of California.  He is a past
member of the Future Farmers of America, Kern County Farm Bureau and the
Kings County Farm Bureau.  He is a member of the Gun Owners of California
and the San Joaquin Geological Society.  Don holds a commercial pilots
license and is a U. S. Marine Corps veteran.

Marilyn, Don's "better half," a former court reporter, is a member of the
National Shorthand Reporters and the Certified Shorthand Reporters of
California.  She is a credit to the nation and will be a great first-lady!

Daughter Mallorie has followed in her mother's footsteps as a court
reporter.  Son Grayson, a former quarterback and the University of the
Pacific, has earned a master's degree in the behavioral medicine field.  Son
Doug, a Stanford University graduate, spent many years with the Atlanta
Falcons, the New England Patriots and the San Francisco Forty-Niners and is
now a wholesaler for an investment company out of Los Angeles.

Don is the sole office-holder in the State of California to totally
eliminate two taxes by successfully sponsoring the initiative to abolish the
California Inheritance and Gift Tax in 1982.  This action has saved the
California taxpayers over $40-billion, to date.  California Speaker Willy
Brown spent millions and gerrymandered Don right out of his district in an
unsuccessful effort to remove Don from office.  Term limits forced this
great American out of office.  It is time to give Don Rogers the promotion
he and we so richly deserve!  Then the rest of the nation can enjoy the same
Don Rogers which California has enjoyed for so long.

In the California Senate, Don was the chief patron behind the famous Tenth
Amendment Resolutions to reestablish Constitutional government, States
Rights and the proper relationship of the District of Columbia as an agent
of the States rather than the States as agents of the federal government.
Rogers is a strong supporter of the free enterprise system and
Constitutional, limited government.  Don served as Chairman of the Committee
on Veterans Affairs.  He served on Agriculture & Water Resources, Budget &
Fiscal Review, Insurance, Claims and Corporations, Natural Resources &
Wildlife and the Rural Caucus.  America is ready for the leadership which
Don Rogers will provide.  He will be a splendid Commander-in-Chief!

American Party Vice-Presidential Candidate Al Moore is a life-long Virginian
and advocate for the Constitution.  Moore was born in Warrenton.  Al's
father was an elementary and high school principal for over thirty years.
Al grew up in an education family.  Al graduated from Virginia Tech in 1963
with a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Physics.  Al worked two years for
the State Department of Taxation, five years for Philip Morris and
twenty-four and a half years for A. H. Robins & Whitehall-Robins as a
computer analyst.  Al is the C.E.O. of Get Moore For Your Money Enterprises,
a network marketing home-based business selling environmentally safe home
products.

Al currently serves as Vice-Chairman of The American Party of the United
States.  Al has served as Chairman of the Platform & Resolutions Committee
for the last two American Party conventions in Wichita, Kansas in 1996 and
in Oklahoma City in 2000.  The American Party is a political party of
God-fearing people who are pro-life and revere the Constitution.  The
American Party recognizes that the right to keep and bear arms is the
defense of the nation and that the New World Order is a world government to
replace the Constitution.

Al married the former Sue Haney and they have two daughters, Deborah and
Dianne.

The Campaign announces that its chief goal is to make each citizen safe and
secure in their person and property and to reestablish the Constitution as
